How RentDrop works on Sunny
The basics
  • Properties list select apartments here instead of paying a premium to promote them elsewhere. Those savings are passed on to you.
  • Sunny holds exclusive rights to list the apartments shown. They won’t be available anywhere else.
  • Any apartment that becomes available will include a two-week period for you to assess it properly before RentDrop begins.
  • RentDrop lasts 5 hours. It starts at the original list price and it drops by $50 every 30 minutes until someone claims the deal.
  • Listings are professionally photographed to ensure accuracy.
  • We work with our Property Management Partners to answer all questions and arrange tours before RentDrop begins.
How to claim a deal
  • RentDrop starts at the original list price, and it drops by $50 every 30 minutes for 5 hours.
  • This is open to everyone on Sunny. You can claim the listed price as soon as it's available.
  • You’re not bidding against others, but anyone can claim the deal anytime, securing the rights to sign a 12-month lease at that price.
  • Once you spot a suitable price, simply claim it to lock in the deal!
After a deal is claimed
The listing closes once someone claims the deal. We will confirm the winner within a few minutes to ensure maximum transparency.
  • A timestamp determines the winner. If you claim the deal before someone else, it is yours!
  • If you win, our Property Management Partner will contact you via email or phone to confirm the contract details for your lease.
  • If you do not meet the unit’s standard rental qualifications your offer will be voided.

How long is the lease agreement for?

Units that appear for RentDrop are available for a standard 12 month lease term.

How do I pay my rental agreement?

You will never pay Sunny. All payments will be made directly to the property you are signing the rental agreement with. We’re just here to make the magic happen!

What qualifications are required to participate?

Qualifications vary on a property basis. We make sure to list them explicitly on each listing in the “Property Details” section.

How do I know this is legitimate?

We have an exclusive agreement with our Property Management Partners to bring these deals to you to ensure you get the most cost savings.
