Property details
Butler Brothers Lofts is a four-story brick and timber commercial building located on Broadway Boulevard in the heart of Kansas Citys Historic Garment District. Built in 1909 and designated on the National Registry of Historic Places, this building originally served as a dry goods storage warehouse for The Butler Brothers Company. The history of the Butler Brothers dates back to the 19th century founded in 1877 as a mail-order company by George H. Butler and Edward Burgess Butler. In the early 1930s, they developed the Ben Franklin Stores and Federated Stores, both of which were franchised five and dime stores. Today this building is home to a boutique apartment community called Butler Brothers Lofts. These beautiful lofts, starting at just $1,300/month, feature soaring wood beams, colorful brick walls, and spectacular urban views. Apartment finishes showcase granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, restored hardwood and polished concrete flooring, sleek bathrooms and full size washer and dryers. The amenity package offers a fitness facility with a full range of cardio and strength training machines, bike room and a private resident storage area. This historic property is also pet friendly and each loft is wired for high speed Google Fiber. The Eighth Street Fountain, erected in 1989, sits just to the north of Butler Brothers in the lovely and quaint Garment Place Park, where locals often take their lunch breaks to enjoy this picturesque greenspace. The area surrounding Butler Brothers features several upscale restaurants, live music venues, sports bars and coffee shops. The popular River Market area is available just to the northeast for a few blocks. There, you will find fresh produce, vibrant shops featuring odds and ends and numerous restaurants of different cultural fares as just some of the ingredients in this vibrant district. Just a few blocks to the east on Main Street, the streetcar line takes residents to historic Union Station and back to the River Market. Butler Brothers also has a B-Cycle station located right to the north of the building and bikes can be rented to cruise around Downtown anytime you wish! Enjoy loft living in the Garment District at Butler Brothers Lofts.
